On Thursday, August 21, 2008 District Lodge 776, LL 2916 reached a tentative agreement with L-3 Comm. Vertex LLC. AIMD NAS Corpus Christi, TX
The contract was ratified with a vote of 39 to1 with a unanimous recommendation from the committee on August 22, 2008.
The following highlights are provided for your review:
3 Year agreement effective August, 2008 thru August, 2011.
- GWI 4.0% 3.5% 3.5%.
- Equity adjustments in 3 classifications.
- Pension contribution increased to $1.20, $1.25, $1.30.
- Shift differential of $0.50.
- Premium pay for CDQCI/CDI/CDL qualifications.
- Medical/ Dental/Vision Premiums capped for the length of the contract.
- Opt-Out options
- Cold Weather Gear, Prescription Glasses and Safety Boots allowances increased.
The Negotiating Committee was led by District 776 ADBR Jody Bennett. Brother Bennett’s extensive knowledge of the Service Contract and its application assured that these members attained a superb contract. This committee worked constantly throughout these negotiations in representing their membership .Coordination and continued assistance from all involved, assured these negotiations were highly successful for our members working under this collective bargaining agreement and set a high standard to be matched in other contracts across the country.
