The AFL-CIO Metal Trades Department will be holding its annual training conference at Bally’s Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada October 21st through the 23rd, 2009. This year’s conference will again feature Council reports from each of the affiliated councils, industry reports on shipbuilding and Department of Energy sectors, and speakers from both the Metal Trades Department and the Building Trades departments of the AFL-CIO.
The Keynote Speaker for the training conference is Richard Trumka Secretary Treasurer of the AFL-CIO. Other speakers who will address the conference are Vice Admiral Kevin McCoy Commander Naval Sea Systems Command, Cindy Brown of the American Shipbuilders Association and Mark Ayers, President, Building and Construction trades, AFL-CIO.
