Meet the Staff of the Legal Department
| The Legal Department protects the rights of the IAM, its members, and its potential members. The department advises the IAM on legal issues involved in collective bargaining, organizing, labor relations, health and safety, workers compensation, etc. The department also represents the International before the courts, the National Labor Relations Board, the National Mediation Board, and other federal agencies. The Legal Department's staff keeps current on court rulings and arbitrators' decisions. They coordinate with the labor law firms used by local and district lodges throughout the nation. |
