Geneva / Switzerland, 15 November 2005: Today, the International Federation of Building and Wood Workers (IFBWW) has launched a congress website in English, French and Spanish to provide affiliates and the media with useful information for IFBWW 22nd world congress to be held from 3 to 9 December in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The site contains useful information on IFBWW congress contact possibilities, programme, documents, general and practical information, how congress functions and a brief history of the IFBWW and the WFBW (World Federation of Building and Wood Workers). You will also find information about the IFBWW and its affiliates.
In addition, we will publish congress daily news on a very regular basis, interviews, speeches delivered by IFBWW leadership, resolutions and much more of interest to construction, wood and forestry workers, media, etc. This will help connect our worldwide membership to the congress events'
debates and conclusions.
As the IFBWW includes many affiliates in Arab and former Soviet and Baltic states who do not speak English, we will also provide most of our information to these comrades in Arabic and Russian at a later stage and will inform you accordingly.
