Washington Wakes Up to Jobs Crisis

Thu. November 12, 2009

It appears last week’s sobering unemployment numbers have finally jolted lawmakers in Washington to the reality of the nation’s ongoing jobs crisis. In a long overdue move, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid now says Senate Democrats will take up a new job-creation bill next year. In addition, President Barack Obama says he’s organizing a White House jobs summit next month.

According to The Hill, Sen. Reid made the announcement during Senate Democrats’ weekly lunch, saying job creation was going to be “one of the priorities” for the Senate. Speaking at the White House today, the president said he will invite CEOs, small business owners, economists, and representatives from labor unions around the country to the White House in December to “talk about how we can work together” to create jobs.

“For months, we have pushed for programs to create and protect jobs on Main Street, rather than Wall Street,” said IAM International President Tom Buffenbarger. “We applaud the awakening in Washington. The situation today, however, is more desperate and urgent than it needed to be. There can be no real recovery without a massive effort to put millions of Americans back to work.”

Keep up the pressure. Send a letter to Congress and the White House demanding JOBS Now!

American can not recover wiht insaine spending. The only way out is through sound money principles. End the Federal Reserve, thay have violated the free market rules. We do not have control over our money supply by a counterfeiting Fed. End the Fed is the first progressive step in healing our nation. Then tax the hall ouf of these corps that run off shore. Healthcare though important serves a biffer purpose to distract congress and the people from the largest hiest in the world history. Every workers is being directly robbed through inflaiton. Big government will NOT restore freedom and libety, With out a free and honest currancy the people never can be free. Obama is signiong ouver America to the new world order. Union people wake up, see the big picture condier Ron Paul, he\'s the only hope as I see it, No more lies from mainstream snake oil salesmen like Obama.

They need to have jobsw for Men and women. There are single mothers out there that need work, and women alone that need work. And men that have families that need work. It is really bad out here. My daughter was cut off almost two years ago, when Citibank had that 40,000 layoff, and she has not found anything steady since. Just a few part time jobs that she knew would only last 1, 2, or three weeks, but she took them because it was work. It is hard out here. People are starving.
