IAM Railroaders Ratify New Contract with Amtrak

Machinists working on Amtrak have ratified a new five-year agreement, retroactive to July 1, 2010.

The new agreement includes a General Wage Increase (GWI) totaling 14 percent and preserves current health and welfare co-pays and deductibles for the life of the contract. 

Amtrak is in the process of calculating retroactive pay, and members can expect to be paid by mid-November.
