Sign the Bunning Petition: Throw The Bum Out!

Tue. March 02, 2010

On the floor of the U.S. Senate, Kentucky GOP Senator Jim Bunning declared aloud it was “tough sh*t” if Senators disagreed with his efforts to block an extension of unemployment benefits for jobless Americans.

Help make certain Jim Bunning hears the boos and hisses he deserves. Don’t stand by while Bunning throws away the chance for more than 1.2 million jobless Americans to cash an unemployment check next month. Don’t wait until Bunning eliminates the subsidy for COBRA that helps many jobless Americans keep their health care coverage.

Sign the UCubed petition to throw the bum out, and have Jim Bunning ejected from the National Baseball Hall of Fame, and to install Jim Bunning in the UCubed Hall of Shame.

This petition will be hand delivered to Bunning’s Senate Office and the Baseball Writers Association of America on Opening Day.

Thanks to all who participated in our petition. The petition is now closed.

Because of continued pressure by the Unemployed, Congressional leaders, and others, Jim Bunning buckled to allow the passage of jobless aid and road funding.

Throw The Bum Out! The arrogant bastard should have to stand in the unemployment line with the millions of others who suffer from his and other Senators ill tempered, short sighted and shameful ways.

Congress had a big fan fare a week or two ago about Pay Go. What this meant was any Bill brought up would need to be paid for. Thus, pay as you go. All Bunning was doing was trying to uphold this commitment. If we want to throw bums out let\\\'s start with the bum\\\'s who don\\\'t want to follow their own rules on Pay Go. But let\\\'s not stop there. How about the bum known as Charlie Rangel. Hell, let\\\'s not stop there! Let\\\'s throw out all the bums taking bribes for their votes for the Health Care fiasco. And anyone who votes for reconciliation on this Health Care fiasco. Believe me the Bum list is long. And it consists of both Republicans and Democrats.

Senator Jim Bunning must have been hit by too many line drives on the nogg\'in when he pitched for the Phillies. He doesn\'t belong in the Senate and thank goodness he knows enough not to seek another term. Jim cares about Jim and no one else. He\'s OTW. That\'s off- the- wall in no uncertain terms!

Isn\'t it a shame that somebody who made a living playing a game would turn his back on the working people who made that possible?

I have struggled through many layoffs and I know how important unemployment is to people who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own. This guy needs to be taken down a notch. Shame on him.

Jim is a national hero. Finally, someone with some sense stands up and makes the dems do what they keep harping about.....PAYGO. Pay as you go. After that excuse for a president spent 800 billion on his pals calling it \"stimulus\" , he can\'t come up with a measly 15 billion? If I was the senate, I would take 100 billion out of stimulus funds and send it to all us taxpayers.
