December 12, 2007 - Families USA, a national health advocacy group, has released a set of reports that examines the health care crisis in individual states.
Findings include:

456,000 New Mexicans are in families that will spend more than 10 percent of their income on health care costs in 2008.

More than 1.3 million Washingtonians are in families that will spend more than 10 percent of their income on health care costs in 2008.

Nearly 1.6 million Virginians are in families that will spend more than 10 percent of their income on health care costs in 2008.

Nearly 1.4 million Arizonans are in families that will spend more than 10 percent of their income on health care costs in 2008.

Nearly 2.2 million Ohioans are in families that will spend more than 10 percent of their income on health care costs in 2008.
