President John F. Kennedy gave America a vision for space in 1962.  Now we need a new vision for space today. The current plans to shut down the Shuttle and cancel the Constellation program cannot stand, for the sake of our national prestige, our national security and our nation’s future.

The Machinists Union stands for mankind’s drive to the stars, for our Nation to retain the leadership in exploration and technology. At a time when our Nation has been buffeted by economic turmoil, the one thing we cannot jettison is our dream for the future.

America must continue its leadership in manned exploration. So many technological advances and economic dividends have come—and, will continue to come—from our space programs that they have more than paid for themselves. At a time when the nation is scrambling to create jobs, we must not destroy tens of thousands of jobs across this nation.

America must continue the Shuttle missions, work on and expand the space station, and continue the development of the next generation of exploration vehicles for space, including the so-very important heavy lift capacity.

Vison4Space brings not only space workers across the nation together, but those who share the dream of JFK, who know we must continue our destiny in space. We want to build a groundswell of support that will be heard in the Halls of Congress.  We want to save our proud American space program. Join our Facebook group, and help our Vison4Space grow.
