On Thursday, February 24, 2011, all the unions in the Massachusetts Bay Commuter Railroad Labor Coalition agreed with MBCR to extend the cooling off period until 12:01 am on March 26, 2011.
Negotiations for a contract will continue until then. If no agreement is reached by that date, the President will appoint a Presidential Emergency Board to make non-binding recommendations to resolve the dispute.
