District 1 raised more than 49,000 dollars at their annual Stewards and Officers Appreciation dinner on November 7.
The dinner has been held each year since 1992 to collect voluntary contributions to support the Machinists Non-Partisan Political League (MNPL).
"District 1 takes great pride in planning this event each year," said GVP Lynn D. Tucker, Jr. "The record setting results are proof of that."
"Thanks go out to BR's Bill Wheeler, Henry Scott and Tony Armedio," said District 1 DBR Danny Chemelko. "Brothers Frank Hevener and Bill McIntosh also contributed. Their combined efforts made the dinner a huge success."
