Commander Saiz made the trip to show his appreciation to President Proctor and present him with a plaque of appreciation for the members of Motor City Lodge 698. Last month Local 698 pledged $1000.00 to assist VFW Post 812 in supplying dinners for Military Troops at Ft. Bliss.
Post 812 supports hundreds of troops every month by providing dinners and support when they return from or ship out to Iraq and Afghanistan. Post 812 is known for its humanitarian efforts for the troops, and continues to provide assistance through donations of food, supplies and support for those families who have lost loved ones in the conflict.
