ME AFL-CIO Spotlights Eastern Territory IAM Member

The Maine AFL-CIO featured IAM Local 836 member Jeffrey Phillips recently. Phillips and other members of Local 836 were passing out leaflets educating workers on the issues important to working families at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

Phillips is urging all union members and other workers get out and vote in the upcoming election, in order to make a difference. “Get involved in union activities like worksite leafleting, local union mail, member to member phone banks, and labor walks,” said Phillips. “The time for change is now. Get out there and join in the fight and most importantly, voice your opinion."
