IAM Eastern Territory General Vice President Lynn D. Tucker, Jr., announced the appointment of District Lodge 1 Organizer Gary Anthony to the staff of the Eastern Territory as a Special Representative, effective January 1, 2012.
Anthony is a 35-year member of the IAM, joining Local Lodge 1092 in Sellersville, PA while employed by Ametek U.S. Gauge. Anthony served Local 1092 members in a variety of elected positions over the years, including Shop Steward, Shop Committee Chairman, Vice President, President and Trustee.
In District 1, Anthony has served as a Delegate and Vice President. In 2002, after completing his term as an Apprentice Organizer, he went on to serve as Organizer for the District.
“Gary brings a strong background of organizing and negotiating experience to the staff,” said GVP Tucker. “His background and expertise in organizing will be a huge asset to the Eastern Territory and the IAM.”
