In his introduction, IAM Midwest Territory General Vice President Philip J. Jeff is a man who knows and respects labor, the issues of middle class America and the state of Missouri."

Harris, who graduated from Cornell Law School in 1991, was elected unanimously as House Democratic Leader in 2004 and again in 2006. Before being elected to the Missouri House, Jeff served as an Assistant Attorney General under Attorney General Jay Nixon.
