Machinists Press On at Pacific Press

IAM Local 2293 members working at Pacific Press Technologies in Mount Carmel, IL have built the largest hydraulic press brake they have ever built. The huge press brake has a bending capacity of 2,000 ton over 45 feet. The machine weighs 721,125 lbs plus another 8,000 lbs of tooling.  It has taken nearly a year to manufacture.

IAM District 111 Business Representative Gary Stuessel who once worked at Pacific Press praised our member saying, "This is a tremendous example of the quality craftsmanship our members are capable of."

There are 50 Machinists Union members at Pacific Press working in Fabrication, Machining, Assembly, Paint, Welding, and Maintenance.
