IAM District 8 in Burr Ridge, IL brought 8 new members into the IAM by organizing the Kawneer Company in Itasca, IL. Our new members work in fabrication and the warehouse. Kawneer is a subsidiary of Alcoa and manufactures architectural building products and systems.
Lead organizer Special Representative Jorge Saenz proudly said, "This group is solid. They are determined to get the security that an IAM District 8 contract brings. They want better wages benefits and working conditions."
IAM Midwest Territory General Vice President Philip J.
