Vice President Biden was recently appointed by President Obama to chair the "Middle Class task force." The task force will propose laws, policy and executive orders focused on issues like expanding education and lifelong training opportunities, improving work and family balance, restoring labor standards including workplace safety, helping to protect middle-class and working-family incomes and protecting retirement security.

In speaking with GVP Gruber, the Vice President proudly said he enjoyed the support of the Machinists Union for the last 37 years. Caranhan has a solid relationship with Missouri organized labor as well and is running for the U.S. Senate seat being vacted by Senator Kit Bond.
