Congressman Luis Gutierrez representing the fourth congressional district of Illinois, requested that his District Director and Legislative Assistant visit the IAM Midwest regional office recently. Congressman Gutierrez's staff, Salvador Cerna and Nicole Dinis discussed many subjects and said the Congressman supports the issues of importance to IAM members. Those issues include creating jobs now, health care reform and the passage of the Employee Free Choice Act. While the Congressman was in session and could not make the meeting, the fact he had staff from Chicago and Washington, D.C. attend on his behalf clearly shows the importance he puts on the relationship he has with the IAMAW.
