He recently signed the letter by Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Congressman Oberstar and Congressman Miller to the National Mediation Board in support of the union election change with regard to the National Railway Labor Act. That rules change will directly affect the current organizing effort at Delta / Northwest airlines.
Congressman Davis is a founding member of the "Jobs Now" Congressional Caucus which he recently formed with Congressmen Rush and Kapur. The caucus supports protecting and creating good paying family supporting jobs.
He was one of the few members on the powerful Ways & Means Committee to support labor and co-sponsored the "TRADE" Act which promotes fair trade... not free trade.
In addition, he backs our position on the Employee Free Choice Act.
