The IAM Midwest Territory held it's 2nd Annual "Spirit of the Midwest" Rides for Guides motorcycle run, dance and car show recently in St. Louis, MO at IAM District 9 and IAM District 837.
The motorcycle run was a little on the damp side, but everyone enjoyed the hospitality of IAM District 837. Those in attendance played cards, socialized, had a delicious meal featuring pork steaks and won prizes donated by various businesses and individuals.
Following the motorcycle run, a dance was held at the DL 837 hall with music provided by DL 837 Business Representative / Organizer Homer Clawson.
The car show was rescheduled because of the rain and was held on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at the IAM District 9 hall. The event drew 120 cars and was very well attended by auto enthusiasts from all over the St. Louis metro area.
"Best in Show" and "People Choice" trophies and prizes were awarded along with many class trophies and prizes.
Those in attendance were offered food and beverages along with free pizza from a local shop. A local fire department brought a play area for the youngsters and raised a large American flag from a ladder truck for all to see. IAM District 837 BR / ORG Homer Clawson provided music for everyone to enjoy.
