Governor Walker's budget repair bill is not only an attack on public employees, it's also an attack on workers all over the state," said Russ Krings, director of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers District 10.
Protests of Walker's attempt at busting the public employee unions goes into it's 7th day on Thursday. Earlier this week, 10,000 union members jammed the Capitol building and square. Wednesday, 30,000 union members rallied and made their voices heard. More lobbying and rallies are scheduled.
While Walker says he is trying to balance the budget, this is union busting. It's not about money. It's a hate crime plain and simple.
The normal budget process in Wisconsin usually takes until mid-summer to complete. Walker is trying to push his "budget" through in February. Next on his agenda... attacking all union members by making Wisconsin a "Right-to-Work-for-Less" state.
