Midwest Territory receives awards at IAM Human Rights Conference

The IAM Midwest Territory was well represented and received several awards at the 2011 Inaugural International Human Rights Conference in Lake Buena Vista, FL. The focus of the IAM Human Rights conference was "Embracing Diversity in the House of Labor."

IAM Midwest Territory General Vice President Philip J. Gruber proudly said, "I am gratified to accept the award on behalf of all the members in the territory. This is the result of the commitment to dignity and human rights by all the territory Districts and Locals."

 

GVP Gruber was given two awards. The award given to him was for his unyielding support for human rights throughout the years.  The territory award was in appreciation for dedication to the human rights movement.

 

IAM Midwest Territory Grand Lodge Representative and Human Rights Co-ordinator Luther Williams received the "Keeper of the Dream" award in honor of his commitment to the Human Rights Movement.

 

IAM District 837 in Hazelwood, MO received an award for dedication to the Human Rights Movement and another for their untiring efforts and commitment to the Human Rights Movement.

 

IAM District 9 in Bridgeton, MO received an award for their untiring efforts and commitment to the Human Rights Movement.

 

IAM District 10 in Milwaukee, WI received an award for their untiring efforts and commitment to the Human Rights Movement.
