Meet the Staff | GVP Philip J. Gruber
General Vice President Philip J. Gruber has been a member of the Machinists Union since his initiation into Local Lodge 688 in October 1972. He became a Journeyman Tool & Die Maker in the spring of 1976. He served as Steward, Chief Steward, Treasurer and the President of Lodge 688. He was elected as delegate to the St. Louis Labor Council, Missouri State Council of Machinists and Tool & Die Conference.

Rod Hoffman was appointed Administrative Assistant for General Vice President Philip J. Gruber on January 1, 2010. Hoffman served as a Grand Lodge Representative beginning in 1993. He was appointed Special Representative in 1989.

Deborah Bryson was hired as Staff Secretary for the Midwest
Territory on November 1, 1999.

Russ Wittkop was appointed Grand Lodge Representative on January 1,

He served as Special Representative beginning in June of 1999.

Luther Williams was appointed Grand Lodge Representative on February
1, 2005. Prior to becoming Grand Lodge Representative he served as the
Midwest Territory Education Representative from September 1, 1999 until
July 1, 2001, at which time he was appointed to Special Representative.

Grand Lodge Representative Steve Nickel was appointed to the IAM
Midwest Territory staff as Special Representative on August 1, 2006. Steve's assignment is as Territory Organizing Leader.

Gary Schmidt became a Grand Lodge Representative on September 30, 2008.
He was appointed to the position of Special representative on April 1,
2007. Gary is the board agent for the territory.
