Russ Wittkop 
Grand Lodge Representative
Russ Wittkop was appointed Grand Lodge Representative on January 1, 2004. He served as Special Representative beginning in June of 1999.
In March of 1993, Wittkop accepted the position of Staff Representative for the Wisconsin State AFL-CIO. His duties and responsibilities included being an Industrial Engineer, coordinated and developed programs that affect the Industrial Sector Unions, Safety Representative for all sectors of the union movement, Secretary for the Standing Committee on Conservation, environmental point person, Wisconsin State Apprenticeship Advisory Council Member, Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership Board Member and he was responsible for lobbying efforts dealing with industrial sector issues.
Between 1984 and 1993, Russ Wittkop held the position of Chair for grievance and bargaining committees for IAM Local Lodge 1947 at Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
From 1978 to 1984, Wittkop served as Plant Chairman for the Machining Facility at Mercury Marine.
In 1974, Wittkop became Plant Chairman of the grievance and negotiating committees at the Mercury Marine Die Cast facility.
In January of 1973, he was appointed shop steward and in July of 1973 he was appointed grievance committee person.
Russ Wittkop has held various other positions in IAM Local Lodge 1947 including Local Lodge Trustee, Industrial Engineering Representative, Education Chair, Safety Representative, delegate and Trustee for IAM District Lodge 10, delegate and Trustee for the Wisconsin State Council of Machinists, delegate to the Wisconsin State AFL-CIO conventions from 1978 until 1993, and delegate to the 1980, 1984, 1992 IAM Grand Lodge Conventions.
Wittkop started at Mercury Marine in October of 1972 and became a member of IAM Local Lodge 1947 in December of 1972.
