Dear Sisters and Brothers:
Let me start by congratulating you on your recent appointment as Local or District Lodge Educator. The work that you will be doing in your new position is vitally important to the future of the IAM & AW.
The education of our members is a very high priority in the IAM and educating our membership in a timely, effective and professional manner is one of the keys to the success of our Union. I know how busy you are with your job and family life and I greatly appreciate your willingness to take on these important tasks for our Union.
Local and District Lodge Educators will receive issue briefings approximately four times a year with instructions on how to provide member training on specific topics. The IAM Educator Program is intended to dramatically expand the reach of the William W. Winpisinger Education & Technology Center.
