The cards are stacked against us. Worker-friendly legislation is not being brought to the forefront, as it should be. We need to take action to ensure that every person in the U.S. and Canada who wants a voice and power at work has one! And they must be able to negotiate a first contract. It’s just not enough that we organize new members; they must also get a contract to guarantee their power.
Send a letter to your Congressional representative; ask them to sign on as a co-sponsor to the Employee Free Choice Act of 2005. You can check to see if your representative is already signed on. If they are, call their office and thank them for their support.
