Western Territory General Vice President Lee Pearson was awarded his 40-year pin at his Local 946 meeting on Tuesday, August 8th. The award was presented by Local 946 President Robert Albain. He joined Local 389 in Southern California, transferring his membership to Local 946 in Sacramento, near the IAM Western Regional office in 1993.
Pearson began his IAM journey when he got a job at a San Diego Aerospace firm, on August 1st in 1966. He has served in nearly every capacity that a Labor activist can hold, and rose through the ranks to become the the leader of the western U.S. for the IAM.
