A new three-year agreement was ratified last week between the IAM and DynCorp International LLC, covering locations in Los Alamitos, California, Salem, Oregon, Ft. Lewis, Washington, Helena, Montana and Boise, Idaho.
Coordinated bargaining between IAM representatives and members in all five locations resulted in dramatic improvements. The new contract, which expires December 15, 2010, contains pay equity adjustments ranging from .20 cents to $1.66 per hour and annual GWI’s of 3.5%, 3.0% and 3.0%. Additionally, Flexible Benefits were increased by .90 cents per hour over the term of the agreement, bringing the total to $465.00 bi-weekly, and contributions to the IAM National Pension Plan increased by .55 cents per hour. Substantive improvements were also made to shift differentials and vacation benefits.
Western Territory General Vice President Lee Pearson said, “This team, led by Grand Lodge Representative Mike Wardle, has done an outstanding job for our members in these states. Additionally, committee members Mike Billestri of DL 725, Britt Cornman of DL 24, Jesse Cote and Tommy Wilson of DL 751, Grand Lodge Representative Paula Ross and Grand Lodge Special Representative Kevin Cummings all worked diligently on this contract. On behalf of the entire committee, I would like to extend a special thanks to Grand Lodge Aerospace Coordinator Ray Moffatt for his invaluable assistance.”
