Brother Weigand was appointed Grand Lodge Special Representative by GVP Lee Pearson, effective June 1, 2004. He had been seving the IAM as Director of Organizing for District 725 in Southern California. In addition to his duties in Organizing, he had been assigned to servicing the membership of the District in its Sacramento area. Rod is out of Local Lodge 821, where he had served his brothers and sisters in various positions including: Steward, Vice President, President, Negotiator, California Conference Delegate, Legislative Conference Delegate and Grand Lodge Convention Delegate.
Prior to joining the Grand Lodge Staff, Brother Weigand had been responsible for the organizing of over 650 new members into the IAM, and has conducted campaigns in the Aerospace, Service Contract and Automotive sectors of industry.
Currently Rod is assigned to cover the Colorado and New Mexico areas of the Western Territory.
