Mike Wardle - Grand Lodge Representative

Brother Wardle became a member of IAM Local Lodge 1020 in August of 1978 when he hired on as a Diesel Mechanic for Pacific Intermountain Express. He was elected Chief Steward in 1979 and became Business Representative of Local Lodge 568 in 1990. Mike served as Administrative Assistant, Business Representative and President & Directing Business Rep of the new Rocky Mountain District Lodge 86, (Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, and Montana). He has served as Trustee on various Health & Welfare Trusts and was Chairman of the Intermountain Automotive Insurance Trust Fund until that fund was merged into the Machinists H/Welfare Trust in Seattle Washington. He served on the Utah AFL-CIO Executive Board for 5 consecutive terms and served on the Utah Board of Apprenticeship and Training for ten years. He was appointed in 1990, by then GVP Justin Ostro, to the Western States Truckline Committee. Mike came on the Western Territory Grand Lodge Staff on 1/1/99. Currently Mike is the Western Territory Coordinator for the Automotive and Non-Ferrous Metals sectors.
