GLR Bud Michel joined the IAM in 1977, when he started as a Maintenance Machinist for National Steel and Shipbuilding in San Diego, CA. He served Local Lodge 389 as Secretary/Treasurer, Shop Steward and Asst. Chief Steward. Bud was elected Business Rep in 1985, became Area Director of District Lodge 725 Area 1 and Assistant Directing Business Representative in 1993. Brother Michel came onto the Grand Lodge Staff in 1994. He is currently assigned to servicing and organizing in Southern Nevada and the state of Arizona.
