Access to Jobs Raises Women’s Income

women in jobs.jpgA person’s occupational field has a lot to do with their lifelong financial security. One factor contributing to the men having high levels of income than women is relative to their occupation and job sector. Traditionally, middle to highly skilled occupations with higher income levels are male dominated industries. One approach to raising women’s income is to create opportunities for them in these male dominated fields seeking workers with skills to do the job.

The Pathways to Equity Initiative shows job changes that can improve women’s economic standing and meet employers’ demands for skilled workers.
