ussaCollege students have so much on their plates. There is loads of homework to be done, jobs or internships to work and preparing for the future. Universities and colleges sometimes take advantage of this overworked student population. The United States Student Association (USSA) is an organization where students collectively advocate for their rights. It fights for equality in education and ensures that everyone has access to universal education. Their mission is to build power for students, develop grassroots campus bases, run strategic campaigns and train leaders in order to battle oppression in higher education. They hold values close the IAM’s that include justice, courage, collective liberation, democracy and leadership.
