Can the IAM nominate a presidential candidate? The answer is a
resounding, "Yes!" 200,000 IAM members in Iowa, Missouri, Arizona,
Washington, Maine, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin can dictate the
outcome in the early primary contests.
Then, on March 2, more than 240,000 Machinists in thirteen states can
finish the race and nominate the standard bearers for both parties.
Never have the dates of the primaries and caucuses matched up so well
with the IAM's membership. And never have the stakes, JOBS! Worth
Fighting For, been so high. So, go vote like your job depends on it. It
does.
