Neil Douglas was appointed as a Special Representative to the Eastern Territory May 2022. He has been an IAM member since 2006 when IAM Local 1943 was chartered following an organizing win of 2,700 locked out Union Members of the AEIF at AK Steel in Middletown, OH.
Neil has been active in the labor movement for over 25 years, serving in many different capacities such as Local 1943 President Directing Business Representative, Vice President, Legislative Agent to the Ohio State Council of Machinists, Committeeman, Veterans Committee, steward and Grievanceman.
He is a U.S. Navy veteran who served as an Aviation Ordinaceman and a steelworker in the Seabees.
