Special Event Celebrates Studs Terkel

The life and work of Pulitzer Prize-winning author, broadcaster, activist and longtime friend of labor Studs Terkel will be commemorated at a special event Monday, December 7, 2009. Georgetown University’s Theatre and Performance Studies Program and Arena Stage will present “Will the Circle Be Unbroken,” an adaptation of Terkel’s book.

Terkel is best remembered for hosting a long-running radio show in Chicago and his oral histories of common Americans in such works as “Working,” “The Good War: An Oral History of War World II,” and “Hard Times: An Oral History of the Great Depression.”
