Take Action for ‘Emergency Call-In Day on Unemployment’

Congress only has a few voting days to extend unemployment benefits for millions of jobless Americans. The federal unemployment program, which remains the sole source of income for many idled Americans – left jobless through no fault of their own – is scheduled to expire on November 30th.

If benefits are left to expire, efforts to help the jobless will be far tougher than last year, when unemployed Americans were forced to endure three filibusters over extending unemployment benefits.

An estimated 1.2 million workers will be affected per month.

Don’t let them get away with abandoning millions of unemployed Americans. Please join hundreds of thousands of activists in today’s Emergency Call-In Day on Unemployment. Click here to tell Congress to extend unemployment benefits, or call your Senators at 1-877-662-2889.
