Register Now for Federal Employee’s Basic and Collective Bargaining Programs

Two important programs for federal workers are being offered by the IAM Government Employees Department at the William W. Winpisinger (WWW) Education and Technology Center, in Hollywood, MD.

The Federal Employees Collective Bargaining Program will be held June 21-26, 2015 and the registration deadline is April 26. The Federal Employees’ Basic Program will be held June 28-July 3, 2015 and the registration deadline is May 3.

The Federal Workers Collective Bargaining program focuses negotiating ground rules; contract bargaining, mid-term bargaining, collective bargaining and the new FLRA law, negotiability appeals, impasse procedures with FSIP and preparing local lodges for negotiations. The class also includes a one-day bargaining simulation.

The Federal Employees’ Basic Program provides training specific to federal sector workers in areas such as collective bargaining, the Hatch Act and legislative action, prohibited personnel practices, grievance handling, arbitration and an overview of the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA).
