In a ceremony at Hawaiian Airlines headquarters this week, the IAM and the employer signed the recently ratified agreements covering more than 2,200 mechanic and related, clerical, office, stores, fleet service and passenger service employees at the carrier.

“These agreements represent a tremendous amount of work, commitment and sacrifice from the members of our negotiating committees,” said Transportation General Vice President Sito Pantoja. “Their overwhelming ratification is a testament to the great work that GLRs Tom Regan, Shawn Humpherys and every member of the committees did on behalf of all IAM members at Hawaiian Airlines.”

The five-year accords provide pay increases, enhanced job security, holds the line on health care costs and secures profit sharing and other incentive programs.

During the ceremony, Pantoja introduced the IAM’s new designee to the Hawaiian Board of Directors, Joseph Guerrieri, to the negotiating committees and CEO Mark Dunkerley. Guerrieri is a former federal prosecutor and founding partner of the Guerrieri, Claymon, Bartos and Parcelli law firm in Washington, D.C. International President Robert Martinez appointed Guerrieri with the support of the Executive Boards of IAM Districts 141 and 142.

“Joe has been a staunch advocate for IAM members for more than three decades,” said Pantoja. “There is no stronger, more qualified person to represent IAM members on the Hawaiian Board of Directors.”

IAM Transportation Department officials, District 141 and 142 representatives and Hawaiian Airlines negotiators met to sign the recently ratified IAM-Hawaiian contracts.
