“They can’t hide,” said IAM Local 2018 Business Representative Dave Gault. “Regal executives who showed up to work this morning were greeted with dozens of IAM members from their Indiana plant because enough is enough. We will be heard.

“We demand a fair contract. And we demand it now,” continued Gault. “We’ll travel to the ends of the world to get it.”

IAM Local 2018 members, fighting for better wages and health insurance, are entering their eighth week on strike as a federal mediator has been brought in to move negotiations. Regal negotiators pulled their last, best and final offer from the table at the last meeting with IAM negotiators August 14th.

Both parties are scheduled to meet with the mediator August 27th.

IAMAW Local 2018 members employed at Regal’s Valparaiso facility manufacture part bearings for the aerospace industry, including various helicopters for the U.S. government and military.
