2016 Per Capita Tax Announced

The Grand Lodge monthly per capita tax for 2016 will be $33.29, reports General Secretary-Treasurer Dora Cervantes in a letter to all IAM District and Local Lodges. The figure was calculated using the formula approved by Delegates to the 2008 Grand Lodge Convention.
The 0.19 percent increase is based on “the average of the percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W) as published by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Canadian Consumer Price Index as published by Statistics Canada,” explains the letter to all lodges. “Therefore, Grand Lodge per capita tax will increase from $33.23 to $33.29, effective January 1, 2016.”
Also in accordance with the IAM Constitution, the minimum per capita tax to District Lodges shall remain at $10.90.
