The AFL-CIO’s Civil, Human and Women’s Rights Department will host the 2018 Martin Luther King Jr. Civil and Human Rights Conference, January 12-15, 2018 at the Hilton Americas Houston, 1600 Lamar St., Houston, TX. This conference celebrates Dr. King’s life and his legacy of working to improve our lives and the lives of future generations.
The conference workshops and plenary sessions focus on the labor movement’s key priorities: raising wages, racial justice, voting rights, immigration, LGBTQ equality, criminal justice, education and a myriad of other issues affecting working families and our community.
Saturday will feature community service opportunities to help working people recovering from Hurricane Harvey. Conference attendees will participate in the Houston MLK Day Parade on Monday.
The registration fee is $200 until November 11, 2017. The fee for registrations received after November 11 is $250. A late registration fee of $275 is charged for those received after December 12. Please note that late registrations are based on availability and cannot be guaranteed.
