AFL-CIO Plans ‘Showdown in America’ Rallies

The AFL-CIO is joining with several labor, faith-based and civil rights organizations in demanding Wall Street pay for breaking the economy, putting Main Street in a world of hurt and then taking off with $145 billion in bonuses.
The AFL-CIO, along with the PICO National Network and the National People’s Action network, will be holding a series of rallies, protests and demonstrations in cities across the country. The first event kicks off in San Francisco and Kansas City, MO, on Tuesday, April 27 th. Other events will be held throughout the week in Charlotte, NC, and Chicago, IL, including a rally and march on Wall Street in New York City.
