On Board Supervisors represented by the ARASA Division of TCU have ratified a new five year contract with Amtrak by an overwhelming 147 to 4 margin.
The contract calls for a $400 signing bonus and across-the-board wage increases of 3% retroactive to December 31, 1995; 1.5% retroactive to July 1, 1996; 3-1/2% retroactive to October 1, 1997; 1.75% retroactive to July 1, 1998; and 3.5% effective July 1, 1999.
In addition, the agreement raises Crew Base Supervisor pay rates to those of Chiefs, and provides for expanded monthly work opportunities and for compensatory time when a holiday falls on a Supervisor’s rest day.
The contract runs through December 31, 1999, although it provides for an additional specified COLA payment in July, 2000 and continuing COLAs thereafter.
The On Board Supervisor craft includes On Board Chiefs, Crew Base Supervisors, and Administrative Chiefs.
