Chris Wagoner, director of the IAM’s William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center, is excited about the expanding opportunities for IAM members at the Hollywood, MD training center.
Wagoner sat down with the Machinists News Network to discuss the increasing popularity of negotiating preparation classes, the continued emphasis on organizing training and the importance of offering classes in Spanish and French.
“One of the remarkable things that happens here is that people realize they’re not alone,” said Wagoner. “They’re part of a much larger group, a group that both shares their struggles, but also shares their successes. It’s a real opportunity to share what they’ve learned – their frustrations, their joys – with other sisters and brothers.”
