AT&T Mobility Deserves Union Support

With organizing rights increasingly under attack by right-wing politicians and their well-funded corporate allies, it’s unusual to find a major company that respects workers’ collective bargaining rights and their elected representatives.

AT&T Mobility is one of those companies. As the only national unionized wireless provider with 45,000 workers represented by the Communications Workers of America (CWA), AT&T Mobility should be the clear choice for union members looking to purchase wireless service.

Union members should also be aware of a campaign by CREDO Mobile, an At&T Mobility competitor, which is aggressively marketing itself as a politically progressive alternative and a supporter of various rights movements – except for workers’ rights.

“CREDO is non-union, plain and simple,” declared CWA President Larry Cohen. “And CREDO uses Sprint, a non-union competitor of AT&T, to provide its wireless service.”

In addition to being the only unionized wireless provider, AT&T Mobility offers discounted wireless service for union offices, union staff and individual union members.
