IAM International President Brian Bryant has appointed longtime organizer and activist Bob Beloit as a Midwest Territory Special Representative. The appointment is effective June 1, 2024.
Beloit, a 34-year IAM member who began his career as an auto technician, has worked full time as a Secretary-Treasurer since 2010. He became IAM District 9’s Organizing Coordinator in 2018.
“Bob lives and breaths the IAM and helping those around him live a better life through a union contract,” said Bryant. “He is going to continue to grow our innovative and successful organizing efforts in the Midwest Territory.”
Beloit has led and assisted with several large and high-profile organizing efforts throughout his IAM career.
“The IAM Midwest Territory is laser-focused on growing our union in both familiar and emerging industries,” said IAM Midwest Territory General Vice President Sam Cicinelli. “We welcome Bob’s knowledge, experience, and expertise. Bob will add to our organizing talented staff as well as assist in supporting our District and Local Lodges throughout the Midwest Territory.”
Beloit, an avid hunter, fisher and handyman, has also spent time as a firefighter and EMT.
