Clinton Wins Big on Super Tuesday

IAM endorsed Hillary Clinton, picked up seven wins on Super Tuesday and her momentum continues to grow with support from union members.

IAM endorsed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton had a huge night on Super Tuesday. On a day where 11 states across the nation held primary nomination elections, Clinton brought home victories in seven: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Massachusetts.

The wins by large margin give Clinton a commanding lead in delegates and a huge surge in momentum heading into the upcoming primaries in the Midwest United States including Michigan, where Clinton’s pro-labor stance on TPP will help her with the blue-collar vote.

As her lead in the primaries expands, Clinton, the honorary IAM member, is setting her sights on the general election.
“The stakes in this election have never been higher and the rhetoric we’re hearing on the other side has never been lower,” Clinton told supporters in Miami. “Trying to divide America between us and them is wrong, and we’re not going to let it work.”

The IAM was one of the first of more than 20 unions to endorse Clinton, the former secretary of state and U.S. senator from New York.
