Conigliaro Honored for Lifetime Achievement

District 15 DBR James Conigliaro, Sr. was recently presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Peggy Browning Fund, in recognition for a union career that spans more than three decades of fighting for workers’ rights and shows no sign of ending anytime soon.

The Peggy Browning Fund was established in 1997 in honor of Ms. Browning’s career as a labor lawyer, a distinguished member of the National Labor Relations Board and a tireless advocate for the collective bargaining process. The non-profit Fund that bears her name sponsors fellowships and supports labor rights organizations and individuals by providing much-needed assistance from highly-qualified law students. More than 120 law schools across the nation participate in the unique program which teaches law students about the rights and needs of workers.

In addition to his responsibilities as chief elected officer of one of the largest and most influential district lodges in the IAM, Conigliaro also serves as the IAM’s elected delegate to the national AFL-CIO and serves as chair of the IAM’s key Resolutions Committee.
